Are We Confirmed? Say What?

I REQUIRE that my tenants place the property address in the subject line of their e-mails to me OR it automatically goes to my SPAM folder - and YES, this is in my resident handbook.

IMHO * this agent is silly and creating double work for himself.

Are We Confirmed? Say What?

It was about 11 o'clock this morning when I got a call from an agent asking: "Are We Confirmed"?

I quickly asked:  "Did you leave me a message?" thinking maybe I missed the call when showering.  "No I sent you an email."

My first thought... a computer glitch.

It was not on my desktop, not on my iPad and not on my iPhone.

Instead of discussing the email, I quickly asked what property and what time. Within a matter of seconds his appointment was made .

Still concerned, I asked for his address and sent a test email.  Searching my folders, I found  agentjoeathotmail or some similar generic email address. There was nothing in the subject line.

Subject line

 I apologized for missing it.

(During the course of the day, we get tons of emails. So many are not opened and most times we learn to tell legit from spam.)

I let him know I missed his email  because there was no subject.

He proceeded to tell me that he never puts anything in the subject line, never has, never will and no one has  NOT opened his email.

Wishing him a good day... hope your client likes the condo....please call if there were any questions.

Is this a smart thing to do?

Do you think the subject line is a neccessity?

Are We Confirmed? Say What?
