After wrecks in practice, fighting illness and NEVER having been in the car, Kevin Harvick WINS the Budweiser Shootout for the second straight year in a row.....only the 4th time this has happened in the history of the event.
Meanwhile, back at the BIG SHOW, HMS puts 2 cars on the front row for the 500 * Mark Martin #5 and Dale Earhnardt Jr’s #88 and three “need to qualify” cars get in Bill Elliott, Joe Nemecheck and Scott Speed.
The rest of the grid for the race will come from the top finishers of the DUEL races on Thursday!!!
Earlier, at probably the MOST WATCHED ARCA race of all time, Danica started 12 and finished 7th and had a GREAT day getting bumped, going through the grass and HAVING FUN!!!

Funny. Opening some pages on motor sports (I'm here in Indy and also do marketing for the Speedway) this story took a back seat to Danica and her sixth place finish.

NASCAR is BIG MONEY * Danica only ran the ARCA race to get her ticket to run the Nationwide race next Sat...I think she enjoyed it and although SpeedTV shows the ARCA races from several tracks, she was the BIG media draw this year for the pre-Shootout event

If JJ wins the Daytona 500 his car goes to Daytona USA for a year...I'm sure that there are teams that don't have the depth of chassis and cars that HMS has....they'll make more!!
