Say it isn't so....NO, JR was not hurt and he will Race today!!!

Some media and tv news shows are reporting that JR was injured in his wreck in the Nationwide race from Daytona on Saturday.  JR is fine and he got out and walked around and saw the damage and did media interviews back in the garage.

Danica is ONLY scheduled to run 10 to 12 Nationwide races for JR Motorsports and was never cleared by NASCAR to race the Cup race today!!!

JRNation will be in full force * they are the ones in RED

I wish I had an interest in NASCAR. But have just never been able to develop one. Although I did want to see if Danica could be successful. She did not have a chance to steer out of that accident (saw it on sportscenter).

Mike * too much smoke and she thought the wreck would fall down the track before she got there....she just needs more practice and seat-time!!!

I was worried about Danica racing her first official race at Daytona.  I really would have rather seen her in Fontana (and not just because I'll be there next week).  But, Daytona is a rough track for anyone to race on, let alone someone who's never done it before.  The most unfortunate thing was that she looked like she was just starting to get comfortable with racing closer and what she needed to do to move ahead.  Unfortunately, the wreck was nothing she could have gotten out of.  In those cases, it's really up to the spotter and luck.  I didn't want it turning into the "Danica Show" anyway.  I'm not a Jr fan (lots of my NASCAR friends are, though), but I felt so bad for him to be wrecked out so close to the end when he was in 2nd place.  That sucked!  And he was fine when he got out of the car.  In good spirits, too.  Nice to see.

That's what I just found out, Wallace.  I'm gonna be able to see her in person next weekend.  That just makes it more fun for me.
