Yes * John COUGAR Mellencamp AKA John Camp Cougarmellen, is being pushed to run for Evan Bayh's US Senate seat.  Mellencamp lives in Bloomington which he insists is a "small town".

 

 

If he can run, then the GOP need to consider Tony Stewart 2x NASCAR Cup Champion, business and racing team owner who also born in and lives in Columbus.....a town of 39,000

Tony Stewart is a business owner in Indiana, went home after being successful and bought the home he grewup in and has actually CREATED jobs in the state.....Like Rush, he may not be able to take the pay-cut; however,

Wallace.  Don't get me wrong.  IMO, a celebrity is entitled to run just like anyone else.  Some of them get get pretty far.

That said, words out of the mounts of celebrities have no more interest to me than from anyone else.  Celebrity does not an expert make.

Sharon * Tony's listed as living in IN...Jeff Gordon's home town is listed as Vallejo, CA and he now lives in NYC and NC.  His mother and step-father who started him in racing live in IN still I think.

Lenn * Tony Stewart is a BUSINESS person * as most NASCAR drivers are and he has actually created jobs in his home town through his various business ventures.
