Missy * I actually had a rental home bought as an investment where the sellers had an entire room devoted to a VERY VALUABLE Barbie collection * dolls were in individual plastic cases with nameplates..

I was actually hoping to see an age-progressed 50 year old Barbie.  I'm with Missy on this one - I don't know that some of my contemporaries would like to make the comparison to the namesake so it might not be quite so well received.  Just my guess.  :-]

Well, she sure does look wonderful for fifty. Mind you, so do Raquel Welsh and Sophia Loren and they are 70 I think! WOW!!

Wallace - I learned that Kathryn Bigelow who won the Oscar for Best Director is 58.  Man - with technology/surgery today, Barbie at 50 is the new "30."  Gotta love it...
