Local Central Virginia celeb and neighbor, Sissy Spacek, is set to play the role of a doctor in charge of a mobile medical term in a new CBS pilot. In addition to traveling nationally and internationally in the show, her character is battling cancer and has her daughter on her team. Fresh off her very enjoyable and too brief appearance on HBO's BIG LOVE, this is the first tv gig for the Oscar winning actress. ....and in the "can it get any better?" category.....the show will also have Skeet Ulrich, late of the sci-fi mini-hit JERICHO and ill-fated BACK in the show as "Harvard-educated brilliant cardiologist with rock star looks"....just what he does BEST.....tortured hunk!!! I confess, I have JERICHO on dvd!!
