Easy Advertising: Personalized Water Bottle Labels for Your Open House

I LOVE this idea * even if I do it myself.  I leave bottled water in homes when I leave keys for new residents so this information is TIMELY!!!

Via Sonsie Conroy (Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate):

With summer coming on fast, people will be drinking lots more water. Why not personalize the water bottles you hand out at your open houses or other occasions? It's easy, fast, and inexpensive.

There are two basic approaches: Buy self-sticking labels of the right size in a variety of colors and styles, or use plain paper (any color) and glue-stick or tape the labels to the bottles. The advantage of the first plan is that it can look a bit more professional and clean (but it costs more and goofs cannot easily be fixed). The advantage of the second method is that it is very inexpensive, and the bottles can be relabeled as necessary if you don't give them all away at one open house.

A good source of labels in a huge assortment of colors, styles, and paper quality is:

http://www.worldlabel.com/Pages/water-bottle-labels.htm

As a price example, 100 sheets of glossy white labels, self-adhesive, seven labels per page, is $49.95 plus $4.95 shipping. Share with several agents and save even more! You can get gold or silver foil, plus numerous regular colors. (This price does not include printing.)

At the foot of that page is a free template for you to use in designing your labels. Also download and use this template if you want to print your labels on paper you supply.

If you print on your own nonstick paper, use a small piece of tape to attach the label to the bottle by overlapping the edges and taping them together. Then, should you need to reuse the bottle for another event, just take an X-acto knife and slit the label along the taped edge. Just attach a new label as needed!

Here's a recent sample. I used plain paper and printed in color, but I could have used stick-on labels, or plain paper in a color or pattern.
