Everytime I see the Cary Grant/Grace Kelly movie "To Catch a Thief", I remember the back story as this is when she met her prince.
The palace says they won't wed for at least 6 months in accordance with protocol. Albert has acknowledged a child out of wedlock with an airline attendant who lives in Paris with the child who he sees often.

I suspect there is an "eye" to the continuance of the monarchy. His father was much older than Grace Kelly when they married.
