PropertyManagementMaven: iPad to the rescue!

iPad to the rescue!

Maybe I'll win a new EIB iPad in Rush Limbaugh's Sweepstakes on his Facebook page for his wedding photos!!!

Via Jim and Linda Arnold (Coldwell Banker Gundaker-St. Louis, MO):

The new revolution in computers... the iPad.  But how can this handy device help THE REALTOR?!!  The better question is how can it NOT help you.  There are thousands and thousands of apps to download to help you, I've picked a handful that I think will be the most helpful.

First, you should get the iPad for a couple reasons.

1. Portability- Ladies, could potentially fit in your handbag depending on what size you carry

2. Lightweight- weighs about 1.5 lbs without a case

APPS.

1.  Bento $4.99

This app is amazing. You can also buy this software for your computer.  It makes organizing your life simple.  There are 25 ready to use database templates, also manage contacts, track projects, plan events and more.

2.  Gmail $0.00

Doesn't get much better than FREE!  Not only is it your email, calendar, but you can label and archive... you will switch your email in an instant.

3. Wordpress $0.00

You can keep track of comments, create, edit posts, and pages straight from the iPad.  And you thought blogging couldn't get any easier!

4.  Sociable $4.99

Keep your social media sites all updated - Twitter, Facebook, Flickr Reddit,a and Digg... all in one simple app.

5.  Beejive IM $5.99

Wowzers-  take all your IM accounts... mobile me, Yahoo, MSN/Windows Live, Google Talk, Facebook, MySpace, ICQ, Jabber... get them all on one.  You can also have your IM's pushed to you when someone needs to contact you... managed all in one single app.

6.  Penultimate $2.99

Looking for a pen and paper... just need to scribble a note.  This app is for you!  Just use your finger or get a Pogo Pen and you are set!

7.  Analytics HD $6.99

This app works for Google Analytics so you can check out your site's traffic.  Or you could use it to show your client's how THEIR website traffic is doing.

8.  Keynote $9.99

Know PowerPoint?  Keynote is Apple's version of PowerPoint.  Its compatible -  you can save your Keynote files as PPT files and vice versa.  Need to give a presentation? Impress your clients with your new technology of the iPad!

9. Zillow $0.00

Show more info, see home details, photos side by side with a map by browsing quickly.  Drag and drop favorite homes into 'favorites', set custom filters, refined filters and much more.

10. mobile me $0.00 - app is free, must have mobile me account.  See Apple store for details for cost

Automatically pushes your calendars, emails, calendars, photos and files on the web at me.com.  There's also a cool "find my iPad and/or iPhone" feature if you lose your either one where you can lock the device, send a message and wipe it of its data.

This is just a SAMPLING of the thousands of apps that can help you... let me know what others you have used!!

Thanks for the reblog;  we are definitely on board with the iPad thing, although we think we'll wait for another generation or two.  ;-)

I would not have noticed the post if you didn't reblog it so thanks for reblogging it. It's very tempting to buy an IPad. I can think of so many reasons why I want one.

I'm still thinking that the Android based machines might be better... for one thing, they can run more than one app at a time.

You lost me on that post as soon as you said Rush Limbaugh. LOL

Wallace - like I said yesterday, I can always use a new toy. Lane may be right, though, on Android. At least Kim Komando believes they are better for our business than Iphone/Ipad, if only for the ability to actually open, create and edit documents and spreadsheets.

Wallace,

An administrator from Freed Hardeman University(Where W is speaking in December) told me they are requiring all students to buy and use an Ipad at school. I think they may be able to help them get a discount. Anyway, most of the books are electronic and downloaded on Ipad so they just carry that instead of a bunch of books.
