PropertyManagementMaven: Unemployment - Growing Before Our Eyes

Unemployment - Growing Before Our Eyes

Our area of VA is still at less than 5%.  Unskilled/blue color are the hardest hit.  I get rental inquiries and when I check where they are coming from and that they think they can IMMEDIATELY get a job, I advise them to call me when they get a job and have their first paycheck!

So how is the unemployment picture in your area? Check out this map which shows a county-by-county, month- by-month progression over the past 3½ years - prepared from Bureau of Labor Statistics . Not a pretty picture.

Lois,

Florida changed so dramatically. It doesn't look so good in basic black. :)

Steve * I last went to Orlando about 10 years ago to teach a property management course for ONE DAY and I was blown away by the service staff who spoke ENGLISH with an ENGLISH accent and who knew where their tips would come from.  They were actually HAPPY to wait on me and provide service!
