Long time #24 sponsor DuPont is giving up primary sponsorship of the Hendrick Motorsport's Chevrolet driven by 4X NASCAR Champ Jeff Gordon in 2011....so HMS is out searching for sponsorship. NASCAR has wanted WalMart to come into the sport for years and while preliminary discussions are ongoing, many of the NASCAR consumer packaged goods sponsors such as Coke, Kraft, MillerCoors and Proctor and Gamble are NOT waiting for the deal to ink.
They are ALREADY meeting and signing deals in order to be in a position for the beginning of 2012....THE Daytona 500 is ONLY 6 months away!
