It bothered me to hear they were redecorating in times like these. I doubt the room was shabby if it was just redecorated 4 years ago. The rest of the country is struggling and they need new curtains? I guess you should add, "let them eat cake" to that rug.
I don't begrudge the redecorating efforts OR costs. I just hope they enjoy it for the next 2 years!!!

I like the quotes. I think I could have found a few more inspiring ones, not that these are not. I hope the new President in 2 years will be more concerned about the country than decorating and vacationing.
