PropertyManagementMaven: I have a NEW KITCHEN so I am Taking COOKING CLASSES!

I have a NEW KITCHEN so I am Taking COOKING CLASSES!

My mother graduated from COLLEGE (actually Furman University) with a Home Economics degree so I WISH I had paid more attention to her cooking skills because she had WONDERFUL recipes written on 3x5 cards that have disappeared over the years.

So with my new kitchen, I have started in my quest to take cooking classes and have been pleasantly surprised to find that we have lots of local options.

Our local kitchen store * The Happy Cook * actually has classes as does our new Williams-Sonoma store.  We also have a local cooking school as well as cooking courses for culinary training at our local Piedmont Community College.

I am going to Richmond on Saturday to take a course at Sur La Table which will be exciting.  They actually have a classroom in the back of their store.

While I am still stocking my new kitchen, I'll be sure to check out the next big item on my WISH LIST....YEAH Baby!

Cooking can be so much fun.....especially with everything brand new.  I have a feeling you are truly going to enjoy your cooking classes.

I am fortunate that my husband was a GREAT cook - he learned from his uncle who was a local caterer...so I need to get  back into the swing

Wallace, my kitchen will be one of my projects this year, and hopefully I'll get the cooking bug. I did pick up a KitchenAid Mixer this year. Love it.

WOW!!  You're in for a treat.  Real cooking skills are well earned and rarely experienced.

I had the kitchen in my new home "kicked out" 5 feet when it was constructed.  That gave me room for a large island and added double oven and warming oven, microwave, etc.

I love my kitchen.  I love to cook.  Cooking can be as inspirational as painting a picture.
